We had our family pictures taken in November by Debbie Rackham, they turned out great our best pictures by far!! Dave hates to get pictures done and Debbie was really fast a total of about 15 minutes and she was done. Even with Mckay not wanting to cooperate she got good ones.

iphone
On Friday nigh Dave and I went to see Leap Year, it was really cute, and I stuck my cell phone in the cup holder on vibrate in case the kids called. I guess when we got up to leave I forgot to grab my phone. So Saturday afternoon I was looking for my phone and couldn't find it and thought I probably left it at the theater, so we called them. They didn't have it but said sometimes they get stuck between the seats and people have found them weeks later so I thought I would go by on Monday and find it. Well I went and searched the theater and it wasn't there so we called the phone company and they said someone was having a lot of fun using my phone. They had used 798 weekend minutes and 297 anytime minutes already, they also had some international calls in there. So we canceled the service to the phone and Dave gave me his iphone so he could upgrade his. Now I have some new friends calling my phone except they speak spanish and i don't!!

Potato Torte!
So the scripture reading is going good and I'm actually enjoying it, not that I don't always enjoy reading the scriptures but this time it seems easier. I got my food storage binder started and I'm working on the being patient part, I have an idea for this I found on another blog that I'm going to try I'll let you know how it goes!
Another one of my goals for this year is to try at least one new recipe a week. My recipe binder is exploding with recipes I have torn out of magazines that I would someday try well that day has come!!
Hayden has been begging me to make the potato torte that Melissa D'Arabien made on food network ( he watched that show with me) and so yesterday was the day.
The potato torte has a homemade pie crust, I have never done that before, but it was pretty easy and turned out great! Everyone loved it especially Hayden I think he had 3 pieces!!

Parrot eating a cheeseburger!
On our way home from church Sunday this is what pulled out in front of us, a parrot eating a cheeseburger!! Really the man would take a bite and then the bird would take a bite, it was hillarious. We were at a red light so the kids got to watch the bird finish the burger and the head up to the steering wheel to drive!!
Bowling!
Robots!!
Saturday evening as we were getting ready for scriptures and family prayer Mckay came out of our room saying "I'm a robot, I'm a robot!" and all the other kids started following him around being robots!! Where does he come up with this stuff?

Its a new year!
I have a lot of goals for this new year, here are a few:
Be better at my scripture reading!
Finish getting all of my food storage and rotating what needs to be!
Being more patient!
And posting more on this blog so I can actually make a book this year!
I'll let you know how it goes!
For other news we have a new member of our family, since we have all of our babies and our kids have been begging us for a long time now we decided to make this the best Christmas ever and get a dog! I know us with a dog crazy right!! We are going to keep him we are not giving him back either!! All of the kids couldn't believe we actually got a dog! They all love him even Sophie(for those who don't know she is terrified of dogs)!! We could have only given them all the dog for Christmas and they would have been fine!!
